Launched on June 21, 2011, The Season of Living Local is a forum encouraging community members to commit to making purchases form locally-owned businesses and producers for an entire season…and beyond!
“Living Local” is a different philosophy of consumerism, but not one that should be exclusive or impractical. Quite the opposite! We hope to hear about the individual research, creativity, and exploration of our community members that will help link people to the goods and services they need as well as help local businesses identify gaps in availability.
The Season of Living Local links consumers and producers together to share discoveries, challenges, questions, and ideas while strengthening and celebrating the vibrancy of our local economies.
