The SPARC PLUG loan fund gains its acronym from the program’s mission: Support, Promote, and Revitalize Communities-Providing Loans to Underserved Groups. These entrepreneurs, in turn, provide the “sparc” and the inspiration for greater community revitalization.

The SPARC PLUG program serves entrepreneurs at entry-level business development, with a focus on serving individuals with limited financial resources, encouraging businesses in under-developed neighborhoods, and creating jobs for low and moderate-income individuals.

SPARC PLUG loans are available to businesses throughout the Central Shenandoah Valley.
