Who They Are:

Kris McMackin, wonder-woman and Certified Public Accountant, began her business in Staunton in 2009 and has been faithfully serving small-businesses since.  Kris’s work behind-the-scenes managing payroll, taxes, bookkeeping and a variety of accounting software gives local business owners more freedom to innovate, explore, and grow.

Entrepreneurial Philosophy:

Kris’s knack for software like Quickbooks and a zeal for numbers makes accounting a job that brings her a great deal of personal satisfaction, and the independence of owning her own business gives her the freedom to work within her own personal entrepreneurial philosophy.  Kris fundamentally believes that each of her clients deserves her full attention and her primary reason for starting her own business was to have the freedom to spend as much time with each client as she deems necessary.

Kris caters especially to small local businesses though she is certified to provide services to all entities from businesses to individuals. “I find too often that small businesses are pushed aside by accountants in favor of larger clients and so they end up with second rate advice.  I’m aiming to change that!”  She says.

How did you get here?

Originally from Long Island, Kris wound up in Staunton nearly 6 years ago so that she and her husband could give their children a chance to grow up in a small town. With an office located downtown, Kris has been an invaluable asset to many Staunton area organizations, businesses, and individuals since launching her business in 2009.
